Recognised by the name each firmware sends when it connects. It names the chip, not the device, so boards with the same chip share a row. Stratum V2 sends no name and is listed together at the end.

    1. loading …

On the Bitaxe Pool in three steps

Four fields in AxeOS, no registration. After the restart your miner submits its first shares within two minutes.

    1. Open AxeOS

Open the IP address of your Bitaxe in a browser (shown in your router or on the display); since AxeOS 2.15 bitaxe.local works too. Then open Pool in the menu on the left.

    2. Enter the pool

In NerdOS the same fields are under Settings.

    3. Save and check

Click Save and Restart. After one or two minutes AxeOS shows accepted shares. Up top under Already mining? you then see the stats for your address.

Tip: send your address to @bitaxepool_bot and it tells you when your miner stops.

The solo mining pool built for the Bitaxe

We have sold Bitaxe and Nerdaxe miners since 2023 and helped thousands of people set them up. The Bitaxe Pool fixes exactly the things that keep annoying people at other pools.

    • 0% pool fee

The entire block reward including fees goes to you. Only SOLO Groups cost 1% for the shared payout.

    • Paid straight through the coinbase

No pool balance, no payout threshold: the found block writes the reward to your address in the coinbase transaction.

    • Servers in Frankfurt

Short paths from Germany, Austria and Switzerland instead of a detour via the US: fresh block templates, fewer rejected shares.

    • Difficulty that fits a Bitaxe

Starting difficulty 1,000 with automatic adjustment: a single Bitaxe submits shares within seconds and sees right away that it is working.

    • SOLO Groups

Search together with friends or the community under one #tag. A found block is split proportionally within the same coinbase, with no custody.

    • Stats and support that know the hardware

Live hashrate, workers and best difficulty per address. If you get stuck, the Bitaxe.de support knows these devices inside out.

Bitaxe Pool, solo.ckpool.org or your own node?

All three are real solo mining without an account, paid through the coinbase. The difference is fee, location and what you have to run yourself.

    Frequently asked questions

    All questions and answers

What happens when my miner finds a block?

The block’s coinbase transaction pays the entire block reward (subsidy plus fees) directly to the Bitcoin address your miner is connected with. The pool holds nothing and cannot hold anything. Freshly mined coins are spendable after Bitcoin’s usual maturity period of 100 blocks.

How often does a Bitaxe find a block?

Every hash is an independent chance at the full block. The average waiting time follows from your hashrate relative to network difficulty – both numbers are live at the top of this page, and the mining calculator works it out for your device. A hit can come tomorrow or take years; in a SOLO Group hits are more frequent, but shared.

    Which port should I use?

Bitaxe, Nerdaxe, NerdQaxe and other small open-source miners use port 3333. Industrial ASICs (Antminer, Whatsminer, Avalon) connect through the high-difficulty port 4334 – at their hashrate the standard difficulty would be far too low. The assistant picks the right port for you. Stratum V2 runs on port 3336, large ASICs use 4336.

How do I know my Bitaxe is reaching the pool?

The AxeOS home screen shows the pool status and accepted shares; one or two minutes after starting, the counter should rise. On this page, enter your Bitcoin address in the search box to see hashrate, workers, shares and best difficulty of your miner.

No miner yet? Bitaxe, Nerdaxe and NerdQaxe are available at Bitaxe.de.
